Deputy Governor of Makkah Launches the Future Industrialists Initiative

His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, has launched the the "Future Industrialists" Initiative in the region during the Saudi Industry Forum "SIF 2026" in Jeddah. The initiative aims to serve as a bridge connecting students with the national industrial sector and to cultivate a generation that is well-informed about the Kingdom's industrial landscape, in the presence of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs, Eng. Khalil bin Ibrahim bin Salamah.

The initiative comes as a strategic partnership between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Education, the Emirate of Makkah Region, the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), and the Distinguished Initiatives Association.

The "Future Industrialists" initiative in Makkah Region targets the enrollment of 25,000 male and female students, the participation of 1,000 students in the initiative's hackathon, the organization of three awareness events, reaching 5,000 visitors through the Senaei Platform, and achieving 100,000 volunteer hours.

The initiative comprises four main tracks: the "Discover Our Factories" track, which introduces students to the work environment and industrial opportunities; the "Future Industrialists’ Hackathon" track, which stimulates innovation and the development of quality solutions; the "Senaei Platform" track, which attracts industry leaders to share their expertise with students; and the "Public Events" track, which raises community awareness of the importance of the industrial sector.

The launch of the initiative marks an important step toward empowering emerging national talents and general education students, fostering their passion for the industrial sector, and connecting them with its promising opportunities — contributing to the preparation of a generation that will lead the future of Saudi industry and support the achievement of its targets.
