His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al‑Khorayef, held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Xavier Durand, Chief Executive Officer of the global Coface Group, a leading provider of trade credit insurance and risk management solutions. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the fifth edition of the Future Minerals Forum, convened in Riyadh, in the presence of His Excellency the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Export‑Import Bank (Saudi EXIM), Eng. Saad bin Abdulaziz Al‑Khalb.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the existing cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Coface Group, highlighting its pivotal role in supporting Saudi exporters and enhancing the global competitiveness of national products. Discussions also focused on opportunities to expand the insurance and credit capacities of the Saudi Export‑Import Bank to provide broader protection for Saudi exports against commercial risks, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to increase non‑oil exports and maximize their contribution to the national gross domestic product.

The meeting further addressed the outlook of the mining sector at both the local and international levels. In this context, the parties reviewed Coface’s expertise in assessing and managing investment risks in the mining industry, particularly in emerging and promising markets such as the African continent, thereby enabling investors to make informed decisions that support the growth and sustainability of global mineral supply chains.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Future Minerals Forum, which concluded its fifth edition in Riyadh with the participation of mining sector leaders, experts, international organizations, major companies, and financial institutions from more than 100 countries worldwide.
