Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Explores Enhanced Mining Cooperation with Sudan, Mauritania, and Argentina

His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, held a series of bilateral meetings with ministers from participating countries during the fifth edition of the Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh, focusing on strengthening joint cooperation and expanding mutual investments in the mining sector.

During his meeting with H.E. Mr. Nour Al-Daim Taha, Minister of Minerals of the Republic of Sudan, Minister AlKhorayef reaffirmed the strong and longstanding relations between the two brotherly countries. The discussions addressed areas of cooperation in mineral resources, as well as shared opportunities in mineral exploration.

Minister AlKhorayef also met with H.E. Eng. Thiam Tidjani, Minister of Mines and Industry of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, where both sides emphasized advancing cooperation pathways in the mineral resources sector and fostering joint investments in mining activities.

In the same context, His Excellency met with Dr. Luis Lucero, Secretary of Mining of the Argentine Republic. The meeting underscored the importance of strengthening global dialogue on the future of the mining sector and addressing challenges related to mineral supply chains. The two sides reviewed joint opportunities in mineral extraction and processing, in addition to enhancing cooperation in geological surveying.

These meetings took place on the sidelines of the fifth edition of the Future Minerals Forum held in Riyadh, which witnessed broad international participation from more than 100 countries worldwide.
