Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Holds a Series of International Ministerial Meetings to Strengthen Investment Partnerships in the Mining Sector

H.E. the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, held a series of bilateral meetings with a number of ministers and government officials participating in the fifth edition of the Future Minerals Forum.

The meetings focused on expanding cooperation in the mining sector, developing strategic investment partnerships, enhancing industrial integration, and supporting global supply chains, in line with the Forum’s ambitious vision and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

H.E. AlKhorayef met with H.E. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the State of Qatar, where both sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the industry and mineral resources sectors, and to support industrial integration pathways between the two brotherly countries.

The Minister also met with H.E. Dr. Leila Benali, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development of the Kingdom of Morocco, to explore opportunities for expanding mining partnerships and enhancing cooperation to facilitate Saudi exports’ access to African markets.

As part of strengthening mining cooperation with South American countries, H.E. AlKhorayef held a meeting with H.E. Aurora Williams, Minister of Mining of the Republic of Chile, during which they reviewed prospects for advancing joint efforts in the mining sector and promising opportunities for mineral exploration. The discussion emphasized the importance of developing joint investments and exchanging technical expertise between the two countries.

In addition, H.E. AlKhorayef met with Mr. Claude Guay, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Canada, to discuss the growing Saudi-Canadian partnership in the mining sector, particularly in light of Canadian companies leading the acquisition of mineral exploration licenses in the Kingdom, as well as cooperation on financing solutions and mining technologies.
