Launch of School for Gifted Student in Advanced Industries

The Ministries of Education and Industry and Mineral Resources have announced the launch of a School for Gifted Student in Advanced Industries in the city of Buraydah, Al-Qassim Region — marking the first specialized secondary school for advanced industries and future technologies in the Kingdom. The initiative aims to prepare a qualified national generation capable of leading the future of Saudi industry.

The school represents an advanced educational model that integrates general education with specialized curricula in advanced industries and future technologies, within a comprehensive learning environment that bridges academic knowledge with practical application, in partnership with leading industrial and educational institutions.

The school targets gifted students and equips them academically and practically through an educational program spanning all three years of secondary school. The program is built on project-based learning, specialized laboratories, student challenge-solving, field visits, and educational experiences linked to the industrial sector — enhancing students' readiness for higher education and the future job market.

The school is scheduled to begin operations at the start of the academic year 1448/1449H. Instruction will be fully in-person, and the school will initially be dedicated to male students, with future plans to extend enrollment to female students and expand geographically across various regions of the Kingdom.

Graduates will receive an accredited secondary school certificate alongside advanced specialized skills and professional certifications in fields related to industry and future technologies — strengthening their prospects for admission to leading universities locally and internationally, and supporting their readiness for the jobs of the future. The school will also support students' participation in local and international scientific competitions and olympiads.

The school has been launched in partnership with a number of leading government entities, including the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), Qassim University, the National Curriculum Center, and the National Institute for Educational Professional Development.
