Industry Ministry made 1,488 field visits to factories in May

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, represented by the General Directorate of Branches, carried out 1,488 field visits to industrial establishments in several regions of the Kingdom during May, as part of the ministry’s regular inspection tours to monitor factories, assess their readiness, and ensure their compliance with quality standards and required regulations.

The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Jarrah Al-Jarrah, explained that the field visits conducted last month included 559 visits to factories in the Riyadh region, 357 visits in the Eastern Province, 295 visits in the Makkah region, in addition to 109 visits in the Qassim region, 76 visits in the Madinah region, 43 visits in the Asir region, 23 visits in the Northern Borders region, 14 visits in the Tabuk region, and 12 visits in the Jazan region.

Al-Jarrah affirmed that the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources is determined to continue its field visits to ensure that industrial establishments apply the required standards and regulations, to monitor the commitment of national factories in providing high-quality products that comply with approved standards and specifications, verify product safety, and address the situation of factories located outside industrial cities.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources requires any industrial establishment to obtain a safety license issued by the Civil Defense and to provide safety measures according to the nature of its activity, in addition to ensuring the availability of emergency exits, a fire extinguishing system, and the safe storage of raw materials and products.
