Industry Ministry launches non-profit mining & industry association

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has announced the establishment of a non-profit association for development and sustainability in the industrial and mining sectors. The association aims to raise awareness among industrial and mining establishments and support their compliance with the highest standards of environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and governance principles. This initiative is part of the Ministry’s efforts to empower non-profit organizations in the industrial and mining sectors, recognizing their role in supporting economic and social development in the Kingdom.

The association’s activities include launching awareness campaigns and implementing guidance programs and workshops on ESG indicators to measure the performance of establishments in environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and governance.

It is noteworthy that the establishment of the non-profit Association for Development and Sustainability in the Industrial and Mining Sectors aligns with the Ministry’s efforts to empower the non-profit sector, enhance its role in industry and mining, and increase its contributions and direct impact on the national GDP, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
