Suspension of Acceptance of Applications for Silica Sand Exploration Licenses

A decision has been issued by H.E. Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, No. (1447/1/3763), dated 07/05/1447 AH, stipulating the suspension of accepting applications for exploration licenses for silica sand. The decision is effective as of its date of issuance.

The competent authority at the Ministry will conduct a comprehensive assessment to study the supply and demand of silica sand, support it to optimal utilization in industries, and prepare an integrated study to evaluate its resources within designated and reserved sites for mining activities.
