The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources meets with a number of ministers and international officials participating in the International Mining Conference.

His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, held several bilateral meetings with a number of ministers and international officials participating in the third edition of the International Mining Conference 2024, hosted by the Kingdom at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in the capital, Riyadh. His Excellency met with His Excellency the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Alparslan Bayraktar; His Excellency the Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Alexander Kozlov; and Her Excellency the Thai Minister of Industry, Ms. Pimvatra Wichaikul. He also met with the Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Dr. Gerd Müller. The meetings addressed several issues related to the industrial and mining sectors, as well as ways to enhance cooperation, exchange expertise and experiences, and support bilateral relations. It is worth noting that the third edition of the International Mining Conference 2024 will discuss a number of issues, most notably progress in the sector's future agenda and addressing emerging issues that were highlighted in the discussions of the second edition of the conference, particularly issues related to the mining sector in the region extending from Africa to West and Central Asia, attracting investment to the mineral industries in this region, deploying the most advanced digital technologies in the sector, and applying the best sustainability standards. It will also examine the sector's potential and opportunities in the Kingdom in particular and the region in general.
